Editorial: Katy Perry's Snow White Moment

If Hollywood ever decides to do a Snow White movie the right way, casting Katy Perry as the lead would be an understandable decision. In these romantic photos, shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue, she looks like the fairy tale princess come to life.

Editorial: Rosie's Direction

At first, I laughed at the cover when it referred to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as an actress. She's a MODEL! (A really good model, actually.) Yes, she was the in the last Transformers film, but she spent the entire film posing on top of cars while debris kissed her porcelain skin. (You can read a review I wrote of the film for more rants.)

After I was done shaking my head at her audacity, I really enjoyed the photos. Glamour has really stepped their game up when it comes to targeting a younger audience, and these fun photos are a reflection of that. I have younger sisters and I still dream of working in teen magazines, so I'm pretty familiar with One Direction. I've always been impressed by how perfectly they're marketed. Just look at this photoall of the guys are wearing denim-on-denim, but it's done to fit their personal style.

House Envy: An Editor's Home

I haven't yet had the pleasure of a home that's perfectly curated. (The tagline to this blog is proof that I'm still working on curating my life.) But there are online magazine editors who do it full-time that have the means to decorate a beautiful home.

Danielle Moss from The Everygirl recently published some photos of her home on the website and it's such an obvious reflection of her website. Like all good founders, she is living synonymous with the brand.

Monday Mood Board: Happy Summer

I've been absent for the past seven months, I know. I wish I could say it was a temporary thing, but I'm not so sure. Working 45+ hours a week at my day job and then coming home and spending the rest of my free time on Feather doesn't leave much time for blogging. But I'll try harder because it's something that feels more like fun than work, and I could use a little more fun in my life.

I'm starting a weekly mood board to let you know where my head is when the week begins. Right now, I'm focused on summer because we've been getting a lot of flooding where I live. It got so bad there were no fireworks for the Fourth of July and children were swimming in the streets. (I'm not even joking.) I love a good storm, but when I have to canoe to my car, I start to miss the sunshine.

Summer, please come back?
