Before my haircut, my hair was always too thick to wear most hats, so I've never worn anything but knit caps in the winter. When I got my cut, my hair was also layered to get rid of some of the heaviness, which also meant I could wear hats now. It actually came as a shock after trying on a friend's hat on Saturday night.
Now that my fashion horizons have been opened, I will be hat shopping very soon. I've been looking at a few editorial photos for inspiration.
